For the past five years, you have enjoyed reading articles on cutting-edge research young-earth scientists are doing from around the world. But now, New Creation is also publishing its very own research journal: New Creation Studies! This publication is a professional, open-access peer-review journal.
What makes New Creation Studies different from our regular blog articles is that it is peer-reviewed. We already often have scientists review our articles before publication. But peer-review is a very specific process. This is where researchers create a technical paper detailing the data, methods, results, and conclusions of their research program. This paper is sent to the editor. The editor arranges other experts in the field relevant to the paper to critique it. If the reviewers find the paper to be acceptable, the editor will set it for publication in the journal. New Creation Studies will also engage in this practice. However, it will be in a somewhat different way than regular peer-review journals. Biologist Dr. Todd Wood calls this new approach “community review.”
So while the New Creation blog usually distills already-existent research into a form more digestible for a general audience, New Creation Studies is the tip of the cutting edge, presenting new, hot-off-the-press research.
The first issue for New Creation Studies is now available for you to read on our website! You can either access it through the sidebar on the right, or by clicking this direct link.
Great. A addition for the good guys in doing better science. maybe I will try to submitt something. Great work folks.
Really excited about this new journal – the first issue is great! What is the best way to submit papers for future issues? The opening article mentions a call for papers, but doesn’t say how or where to submit.
Hello Alan,
Currently, we do not have an official submissions page for New Creation Studies. One is in the works, but in the mean time, you can submit your paper directly to one of the editors, such as Dr. Matt McLain. Here is his email: [email protected].
I hope this helps!
I am glad to see this step taken, it is about time people professing Christ, did a little bit of gatekeeping of and forming institutions of our own, out of which we can generally exclude those who deny Christ, remember, whoever is not for Christ is against him, they are of the world and by default hate the living God who is the Truth, it is necessary and rational that we keep unbelieving subverters out who would otherwise like in former institutions, sideline Christian beliefs for that sake of their own delusions and worldly beliefs and as well the falsehooods their friends cling to, as they do now.
